What If, John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

What If

What if this were our last Christmas on earth,

How would we celebrate our Savior’s birth?

Would we run frantically from store to store

With credit cards to buy more and more?

Would we buy for ourselves at rapid speed

Or give more to those who are in need?

Would we entertain and talk of those of fame,

And never mention our Precious Savior’s name?

Would we share, make memories, and have lots of fun,

Forgetting what the Lord Jesus Christ has done?

Would we prepare for the coming year,

not sharing the gospel with some soul so dear?

Would we spend time on Internet, T.V., and I-Pod,

Not thinking of the Christ-Child, the Son of God?

Would we talk of everything under the sun,

And forget the coming of the Holy One

That we will face without any doubt,

To hear, “Well done,” or to be cast out?

How much do we care about those that we see?

Do we lead them to The Christ of Calvary?

May you celebrate The One whose purpose rings true,

The Lord Jesus Christ who bled and died for you,

Sharing the gospel, of how he rose again,

So all could have ‘new Life’ in Him,

What if this were our last Christmas on earth?

Let’s not forget Christ who provides the ‘new birth’.

To all who simply trust in Him,

He becomes Savior, Lord, and King.

Praise God, we will see him one glorious day,

Where with Him forever and ever we’ll stay.
