A Child is Born, Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born, for unto us a son is given. And the government will rest upon His shoulders. These will be His royal titles; Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”    Isaiah 9:6

A baby. All my life I wanted to be a mommy. That was my career of choice. It sounded simple, it sounded within reach. Until, that is, my doctor gave me a diagnosis that struck agony in my heart; endometriosis. He sent me away with a prescription, and the worst words I could ever hear, you probably won’t be able to get pregnant. My head was reeling. Would my husband want to stay with me? How can this be?

The next day I went to the pharmacy, prescription in hand, my heart broken, totally dejected. As I neared the exit door I am thinking ‘I will probably never have a baby’. I barely finished that thought when I heard a voice in my heart, ‘trust God’.

Four months later we discovered with so much joy that there was a new life inside of me! After the excitement of this news wore off, I remembered that voice and what I had heard…trust God.

I know now that the voice was the Holy Spirit. He has since been encouraging me to trust God in every situation. I have given my life and my heart to Him, doing my best to worship my Wonderful Counselor, my Mighty God, my Everlasting Father, and my Prince of Peace.

Gods plan was to rescue me, and He used a baby. That is also His plan for the entire world, and once again He did it with a baby. If you will only trust God, as I did, Jesus can be Your Wonderful Counselor, your Mighty God, your Everlasting Father, your Prince of Peace.
